Honestly, I wasn’t looking for a deep listen, with a 19 track selection, but “Dancehall Therapist, Vol.2” pulled me in like a late night conversation you didn’t know you needed. So let’s lean back on the therapist chair and review a few of the tracks.

Altar

“Altar” has a slow rolling, prayerful tempo that feels like a spiritual invocation. The beat is minimal but potent, while the snare taps like footsteps echoing through an empty chapel. The track feels like a declaration of commitment, not to a person, but to legacy, roots, culture. It’s raw, heartfelt, almost confessional. Overall, “Altar” is a standout opener. Its vibe is solemn and steady, the kind of song that presses pause on everything else.

Fire & Ice

This track gives you a feel of a dynamic flames dance, then fades into coolness. Here passion meets calculation. “Fire & Ice” explores a friction between reckless desire and measured caution. You feel both heat and freeze in equal measure. I must say that I felt a theatrical performance. Chronic Law moves between aggression and restraint, and the musical energy mirrors that perfectly.

Never Lose Faith

This track is uplifting, with a steady bounce, akin to a band marching forward, one foot in front of the other. A hopeful pulse. Lyrically, an anthem of survival. Encouraging, sometimes sermon-like, but never preachy. It’s a gentle tap on the shoulder amid chaos. This feels like theq album’s emotional anchor. Wears its honesty on its sleeve, and does so with a warm, communal energy.

Star

A Dreamy, echo-tinged, like drifting toward light in an infinite sky, in this one. More ethereal than grounded. Lyrics are aspirational and introspective. Chronic Law reaches, reflects, imagines what shines in the universe. Though there is much more music after “Star”, it could be a perfect closer or even a midpoint breather. It leaves you floating, thoughtful, maybe a little inspired.

Dancehall Therapist, Vol.2” is a carefully curated emotional journey. It moves between introspection (“Altar”), conflict (“Fire & Ice”), reassurance (“Never Lose Faith”), and aspiration (“Star”). It doesn’t chase catchy hooks, it builds an experience rooted in authenticity. The sonic palette is concise yet rich with every drum, vocal echo, and pause feels intentional. There’s a spiritual mood woven throughout, whether laced with urgency or calm.

Chronic Law is crafting therapy through rhythm with each of these songs. The album is not just for dancing, it’s for feeling, thinking, even healing.
